Introduction to Sauveterre Beach
The beaches of Les Sables-d’Olonne attract holidaymakers looking for lively shores. Those in Olonne-sur-Mer, on the other hand, are appreciated for their wild and unspoiled character. Sauveterre Beach is the town’s main beach. The scenery and charm of this natural area appeal to couples and families with children, the latter reassured by the presence of lifeguards during the summer season. As with other beaches in Vendée, the supervised area of Sauveterre Beach is particularly crowded in July and August. However, moving a bit further away allows you to find quieter spots. Note that these areas are unsupervised, so swimming is not permitted. Naturists can also enjoy Sauveterre Beach, more specifically 700 meters north of the lifeguard station.
